Hi, my name is Roy. I’m a retired electronics engineer; I worked at the NBC television studios in Burbank for over 30 years, and oversaw many large projects, from design to launch. And I’ve always said, Wires Are Our Friends.
However, I wear many hats: husband to Angel, father to two daughters, coffee drinker, friend, Star Wars aficionado, space and astronomy lover, soapbox orator, politics
complainer, handyman, fixer-upper. Of course, my daughters call me the Absent-minded Professor sometimes. Did I mention I like to drink coffee? I also like the Matrix movie series, and to design and build crazy home projects.
I removed an old pool from my backyard, and then prepped the dirt like a manic landscaper just to put in twice as many sprinkler heads as I needed, and built a french drain! I put a weather station on my home’s roof, and built a special box to put on my kitchen counter that told me twice as much statistics as most people need to know. I bought a TuffShed for my backyard, then proceeded to weather-proof it, and put in electricity and air, just in case. Have I mentioned I like coffee? It’s one of my favorite things.
